What is your first memory when you think of Hamburg?
Dr. Helena Wittgenstein
My first and most vivid memory of Hamburg is walking and swimming with our dog on the Elbe beach when I was a little girl.
How did you come to be a vet today?
Dr. Helena Wittgenstein
Because of my passion for animals, I wanted to become a vet even as a little girl and I am grateful that I was able to fulfill this dream.
What do you like best about your job?
Dr. Helena Wittgenstein
I love the versatility of the profession and the opportunity to help animals and people in situations of helplessness and worry.
What do you think we can learn from pets?
Dr. Helena Wittgenstein
We can learn from them to approach others openly and without prejudice and to feel gratitude for the small, simple things in life.
What are you proud of?
Dr. Helena Wittgenstein
I am proud of my attitude to life, to look positively and hopefully into the future even in challenging times and to always see the good in people and situations.
